ERASMUS+

Erasmus+ is the leading European Union programme in the field of education and training, youth and sport. In higher education, it is intended for students, teaching and non-teaching staff of higher education institutions. The main objective of Erasmus is to encourage the mobility of students and staff to different institutions abroad with the aim of strengthening international experiences, acquiring new knowledge, networking and sharing good practice. 
Projects can be focused on mobility or cooperation with foreign institutions, the implementation of which finds solutions to current challenges in the field of education, profession and the labour market.

Types of Erasmus+ mobility 

A) Erasmus+ study stay (SMS)

  • student mobility for the purpose of study stays at partner universities, which includes attending and taking courses
  • students choose one of 10 universities for their exchange program with which the School of Dental Medicine has concluded inter-institutional agreements that define the number of months of stay, the number of students, and the language in which classes are taught.
  • students apply for the contest announced by the University of Zagreb
  • students can achieve mobility in the 5th and 6th year of study
  • students can only achieve mobility in the winter semester
  • The duration of mobility is up to 6 months.

B) Erasmus+ internship (SMP)

  • completing professional internship abroad
  • professional practice can be carried out in offices, clinics, universities and other organizations and institutions in the member states of the European Union as well as in Iceland, Norway, Liechtenstein, Turkey, North Macedonia and Serbia.
  • the University of Zagreb announces a contest for Erasmus+ SMP internships (2 x per year)
  • the duration of the professional internship is at least 2 months and at most 12 months.
  • students can also carry out their internship after completing their studies, provided that they are still in student status at the time of applying for the competition.

C) Erasmus+ short mobility of doctoral students

  • The competition is announced by the University of Zagreb
  • two rounds of contests
  • activities: research work, attending courses, participating in training (seminars, lectures, education, laboratory work, etc.)
  • participation in the conference is not possible within the framework of this competition.
  • a student can achieve from 5 to 30 days of physical mobility

Candidates can apply:

  • mobility for the purpose of a short study stay - possible only to universities with which the school has signed inter-institutional agreements
  • mobility for the purpose of short-term professional practice (SMT - student mobility for traineeship) - in companies, institutions, organizations and higher education institutions in the European Union member states and third countries associated with the program (Iceland, Norway, Liechtenstein, Turkey, North Macedonia and Serbia)
