Thank you for applying for Dental Medicine study programme in English, at the School of Dental Medicine, University of Zagreb.

 

We would like to simplify the process of registration in the Republic of Croatia by giving you a few information about it.

 

EU/Swiss citizens need to apply for the issuance of the residence card within 90 days of your arrival in Croatia at zg.drzavljanstvo.stranci@mup.hr, phone 01 4563 688; 01 4563 548.

 

Third-country nationals are obliged to apply for the approval of the temporary stay for the purpose of studies within 48 hours of their arrival at zg.drzavljanstvo.stranci@mup.hr phone: 01 4563 688; 01 4563 548

 

After arriving in Zagreb, you should get your national identity number - OIB (Personal Identification Number). You will get it at the Police when registering your temporary residence in Croatia for the first time or at

Avenija Dubrovnik 32 – Porezna uprava (Tax administration office or Draškovićeva 15 (1st floor, room 15a, open from 8 a.m. till 3 p.m.). Please bring your passport or ID card with you. Without OIB, student can not be fully enrolled in the school information system.

 

EU Student from EU member states, EEA countries and from Switzerland exert their right by presenting their European Health Insurance Card (EUHIC). Student from contracting states (Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Montenegro, North Macedonia and Turkey) need to have an appropriate certificate issued by the authorized health insurance in their home countries before coming to Croatia.

 

All other students are required to obtain an adequate health insurance while staying in the Republic of Croatia.

Visa

EU/EEA citizens can enter Croatia with just a valid ID card or a passport and need to go to the Central Police Station if staying more than 3 months in the Croatia to regulate the residence permit.

 

Third-country nationals that do not need Schengen visa can enter Croatia with the passport and then apply for the temporary residence permit in Croatia.

Third-country nationals that need visa need to apply for it at the Croatian embassy / VFS visa application center in their country before coming to Croatia.
